The model of Field Industrial Practice (PRAKERIN) Management in Vocational High School Bandung City

The need for graduate skills of Vocational High School continues to grow in accordance with the needs of the Business and Industrial world, so to maintain the quality of the implementation of vocational high school education should be continuously develop themselves. While the relevance of Vocational High School must keep graduates in accordance with the needs of the business world and industry. Field Industrial Practice (Prakerin) in vocational school becomes one of the vehicle to see the suitability of Vocational High School curriculum with work requirement this need to be accommodated with good management. This study examines "How Industrial Management Practice Model (Prakerin) in Vocational High School Kota Bandung". This research uses qualitative approach. Place of this research is Public Vocational High School and Private which exist in Bandung City. Based on the research results found 1) Prakerin Management Model in Vocational High School Bandung is good enough with the implementation of various prakerin programs that satisfy the stake holder of education. 2) In general the relevance of Vocational High School programs in Bandung with the needs of the world of work has been very good. 3) in prakerin planning has involved various parties such as schools, school committees and employers. 4) Implementation of prakerin management in Vocational High School Kota Bandung in achieving students skill competencies are placed in accordance with the competence of expertise possessed by the students and also guided by mentors from teachers and also instructors from the business world. 5) Implementation of prakerin provides benefits for students, schools and businesses. 6) the management model in the evaluation of the prakerin program in the form of reports to be presented, the evaluating is the mentor teacher, the instructor from the business world and the school committee. Based on the results of the research, the suggestion proposed by the first researcher of the education office should facilitate the Vocational High School in implementing the prakerin management model, through the provision of data of companies and entrepreneurs that have the potential to be used as a prakerin implementation. Both Vocational High School in cooperation with the business world should be initiated by cooperating first. All three businesses must have an obligation to Vocational High School to help improve the quality of prakerin.
