The Influence of Working Environment and Individual Characteristics On The Effectiveness of Employee Performance at Department of Education and Culture in Kuningan Regency

This research was based on the employee performance effectiveness at Department of Education and Culture in Kuningan Regency. It was focus on how working environment and individual characteristics influence against the employees to create good performance in accordance with the vision and mission of the institution. Descriptive method with quantitative approach was used in this research. It was conducted by 52 employees at the institution. The results of this research showed that 1). The influence of working environment against the employee performance effectiveness was 49,4%, 2). The influence of individual characteristics against the employee performance effectiveness was 65,5%, 3) The influence of working environment and individual characteristics against the employee performance effectiveness was 74,0 %. The rest was influenced by other factors. Based on the results, the working environment and individual characteristics give effect to the effectiveness of employee performance at the institution. The recommendation of this research is the institution should be able to maintain a conducive working environment, so that the effectiveness of employee performance is maintained in educational services. Furthermore employees of the institution should maintain good individual characters to create the good quality of educational services and forming human resources with good character, achievement and competitiveness.
