The Case Study of Feasible and Bankable Aspects on SMEs in East Java Province, Indonesia

: In this economic uncertainty condition, the micro, small, and medium enterprises (SMEs) is one of the promising business to do for the society empowerment. This research sample will be focused on the SMEs in food sector and just around east java area. This research objective is to analyze some reasons why many Indonesian SMEs in food sector are identified far from the feasible and bankable aspects. This research tries to dig these facts and provide to all of the parties. This research also tries to reveal the SMEs’ people acceptance for the new technology which is used for the development of their SMEs like a mobile application to market their brands. By using the qualitative research method with the focus on case study, this research will try to explain and reveal the objective of this study. Through this research, we find that the SMEs in food sector are incorporated in one legal institution under the government control called CTH or cooperative trading house which is spreaded in almost all areas of east Java. We also find that many SMEs people welcome for the new technology for the development of their business. The UMKM Gate application will one of offered solution in this uncertainty condition.
