Research Development is done because the failure and success of a school much determined by the principal as a leader, because the principal is the control and determinant of direction that will be pursued by the educational unit toward the goal in such a way by optimizing the available resources, facilities and infrastructure.
Research method using development procedure. Development stage by doing ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The subjects of research are, overall, the Headmaster of Senior High School (SMA) in Merangin Regency who are members of the group head group work group. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive data approach with percentage formula.
The results of this study can be concluded that: First Development of leadership model based on spiritual intelligence school was successfully built and declared valid by experts with validation value 88.67 (very good) related to the principal leadership material. Furthermore, the validation sheet of principal leadership program with an average of 4.03 with the achievement level of 80.62% with good category. Validation of leadership design model based on spiritual intelligence with an average score of 4.0 with tinkat achievement 87.80% with very valid category. Second Practical model of headmaster leadership with an average of 4.33 with 86.67% achievement level with the principals practical category states that this model facilitates and evokes their motivation in carrying out their leadership. Furthermore, the result of leadership development based on spiritual intelligence is declared effective. The statement was proven through t-test analysis from all SMA of Merangin Regency explaining that tcount in this model is bigger than ttable (6,95> 2,285) and Sig value. (, 000) <α (0.05)
