Dividen Payout Behavior: Evidence from Indonesian Company

Dividend payouts are motivated by various motives for each company, even the results of previous research indicate the factors that determine the dividend payout is growing. This shows the behavior of decision makers in dividend payouts to be determined by various situations facing the company. However, theoretically the dividend payout policy can be based on investment opportunity, capital structure, and profitability. The result of panel data regression analysis with observation year 2008 - 2015 informed that investment decision, capital structure, and profitability are factors determining dividend payment policy by companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange with fixed effect regression model. This shows that during the period of 2008 - 2015, the company in determining dividend payout policy consistently based on these factors.
