Management in Information and Comunication Technology- Based School

This study seeks to analyze the implementation of management in information technology-based schools, which involves their technical policies, the process of management in information technology-based schools. The aim of this study is to describe: the technical policy support of school management, the implementation of management information system based school. The design of this study is case study with descriptive method; and it employs qualitative approach. The data collection techniques are interview, observation, and document analysis. The findings indicate that: the technical policy support of Management information system is formulated in the vision, mission, and goals of the schools; the implementation of management information system based school is conducted through the development of the human resources’ competences; the process of knowledge management which follows the goals of the national education in terms of the utilization of information technology to support school based management is not available; the school based management process in both schools are mostly still conducted offline.
